Hey everyone, Josh here. If you’re reading this, welcome to the podcast, and looking forward to joining you on this drunk movie rant journey.
As we were preparing for the episode, I had no idea what we would end up talking about and I jumped into the discussion blind. Yet, Moon was a movie at the tip of my mind; I couldn’t shake it. I was absolutely floored when Alonzo brought it up in the recording. Maybe we will do another episode and we can tell you all about how underrated the film is and why it’s at the top of our lists for sci-fi.
I saw Moon when it landed on Netflix eons ago and the premise was utterly simple; man lives on moon alone. Boring, right? Think Castaway meets NASA. Critics cheered Tom Hanks for keeping the audience entertained with a one man band and Sam Rockwell’s performance mirrors it exactly and he deserves all the praise. The climax of this film still rings all these years later. I know you’ll appreciate a powerful cerebral twist that’ll stick with you. Check it out!
